Here we introduce a brand new concept in  mobile computing, a truly rugged tablet  fully hermetically sealed to IP67 and designed from the ground up for use in truly harsh conditions. Amongst its unique features are a field replaceable independently sealed battery, low power LED backlit sunlight readable display, options of  integral GPS receiver, inbuilt camera and WLAN, solid state hard drive and fully solid state electronics with no internal fan. It has a high capacity 5.2 AH Li ion battery, and with its low power consumption can give up to 3.5 hours run time on a  single charge. It also has an on board charging circuit allowing trickle charging while operating on a 12 -28 V DC power source. It can be configured with 500MHz or 1 GHz processors and can support a range of operating systems. This monitor has been specifically designed for use in food production environments where the equipment must withstand the highest levels of cleaning using pressure washing jets at up to 120 Bar and 70 Deg C combined with strong alkaline chemicals. Made from solid machined 316 stainless steel and designed to be simple to clean with smooth lines and no crevices to trap contaminants it has a flush bonded toughened front window and has a rear mounted projected capacitive touch screen giving operator input even with gloved hands. Its integrated KVM allows operation up to 110 m from the PC using cat 5 network cable to connect VGA and serial touch control. For less extreme environments aluminium versions of this monitor can be manufactured finished in food industry & FDA approved coatings. This version of the Titan 15" monitor was developed as a direct replacement for legacy Barco 15" CRT monitors in common use in many military applications. This monitor will directly fit to the existing console mountings without having to carry out any expensive and time consuming modifications.
