Hard Anodising 

Our standard coating option, hard  anodising  provides an aesthetically  attractive, hard, scratch resistant finish that will generally outlast any other coating options in the rugged environment. Colour options can be specified, although the colour  range is slightly  limited,  the standard  colour is black which gives an excellent contrasting border to any LCD display application, black also gives the hardest coating finish.

 

 

The hard anodised surface is chemically similar to many gemstones and shares their property of extreme hardness and resistance to wear. Additionally the coated surface has the advantage of offering protection to corrosion and exposure to chemical attack. This has advantages in many  applications such as in the marine environment, in industrial process control and in any environments that require washing down such as the food or pharmaceutical production industries.

 

 

Some  applications  demand  a  finish  that will not allow shedding of particulates, such as semiconductor  cleanrooms, hard  anodising is  well proven in this field   and accepted worldwide within the industry as a clean non contaminating finish.
