This is a military console  application that  required  a  rugged  high  quality  19"  deep  dimming  TFT  display  with video picture in  picture  with a  Surface  Acoustic  Wave  touch  screen  667MHz  single board computer,  512MB disk on chip and mil spec force sensing joystick. The customer asked us to design this system specifically to  fit to their new console design which had particularly tight space constraints, and also had to be front face sealed to IP65.

Marine Integrated Navigation Monitors                                                                            

 

 

This 17" Poseidon high brightness monitor was fitted  to the flybridge and inside pilot house  of a  13  metre  workboat  where  it was exposed  to the full effects of  the elements.  It's  1400 candela display  ensured full sunlight readability  while the  rugged  Poseidon construction provides all  round sealing to  IP65. It was supplied with  a single umbilical cable and MIT splitter box for ease of integration and enhanced sealing performance.

                                                    

These    15"  resistive touch  Poseidon  monitors  were  built for an industrial process control  application, they were  required  to be washed  down daily using hosepipes, and be chemical resistant so a fully IP65 Poseidon monitor with glanded cable entry fitted the bill perfectly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This 10.4" Poseidon was developed for a customer who was building a distributed multimedia system using a  glanded fibre optic data connection. In addition full sealing to IP65 was  a requirement. This was one of our more unusual applications to date.

 

Distributed Multi Media Via Fibre Optic Link

 

This customer asked us to produce an extremely rugged 15" touch screen monitor for use in the extreme environment of a meat processing plant. The monitor had to be fully sealed to IP68 to withstand the daily 50º C chemical pressure washing regime, and had the additional requirement of being required to operate remotely at up to 110 metres away from the computer. This was achieved by means of a 15" Poseidon monitor with an integrated KVM module allowing it to be driven via cat5 data cable which is cheap and   simple to install. A projected capacitive touch screen ensures the monitor is tough enough to withstand damage from the sharp tools commonly used in this area. Hermetically sealed connectors ensure the monitor is entirely waterproof even when the connectors are not mated.
