Description

We were asked by a specialist military sonar supplier to supply a pair of 24” monitors with full 1920 x 1200 HD resolution for a high resolution sonar system, the challenge being to design them to fit into a very tight space envelope on a nuclear submarine platform. The final result was a new custom design that incorporated two displays into a single housing which gave the most compact solution possible. This also had the advantage of allowing us to design in custom mounting points to facilitate  simple installation on the platform.

The final installation was highly successful as it perfectly matched the available space, as our customer quoted
